Ethiopian Airlines to join Star Alliance in December

According to a local newspaper in Ethiopia, ET will officially join Star Alliance on Dec 13, 2011.

Ethiopian Airlines (ET) has set scheduled December 13, 2011, for celebration of its full integration with the Star Alliance Network. The invitation has been sent to the CEOs of 29 member carriers of the biggest airline networks in the world, upon whose response the date will be confirmed.

Destinations available for the £1006 fare include Haneda-Tokyo (saving

£1397), Sao Paulo (saving £1653), Beiing (saving £1444), Las Vegas, San

Francisco and Los Angeles (saving £992 each).


Holidays complete with Club World seats are also available in the sale,

including five nights in 5* accommodation in Hong Kong from £1389 per

person, (saving £2000).


Those taking up the deal will have access to dedicated business class check

in, fast-track security and the airline’s luxurious Club World lounge. In

the air they will enjoy fully flat beds, multi channel on demand in-flight

entertainment and excellent dining and wines.
